Everything you need to know before stepping aboard.
What’s included?
Your private trip includes a captain and crew, rods, reels, tackle, bait selected for the trip, applicable fishing licenses and permits, ice and bottled water. Fish cleaning and filleting are included where permitted.
What should I bring?
Bring sunscreen, a hat, polarized sunglasses, a sun shirt or light layers, and your food, snacks and beverages. Leave room for a camera to capture the day.
Where do we depart?
Departures are arranged in Sarasota or on Anna Maria based on your trip, your location and the day’s conditions. In Sarasota, pick-up is at the Quay marina behind Ocean Prime. On Anna Maria, departures use various public docks, including South Coquina Beach and Beach Street Pier. Your exact meeting point is confirmed with the Kokomo team before your trip.
How many guests can come?
Fishing trips aboard Off Script accommodate up to six fishing guests plus captain and crew.
Can we target a particular species?
Share your preferences with the team. Target species and techniques vary with the season, regulations, conditions and where the captain is finding fish. No particular catch is guaranteed.

How far offshore does your 12-hour trip go?
Our 12-hour trips can travel 80–100 miles offshore, conditions and trip objectives permitting.
What is the difference between your 7-, 10- and 12-hour trips?

Why is Off Script more expensive than some Sarasota fishing charters?
Off Script is purpose-built for long-range offshore fishing, with a 38′ catamaran platform, twin 350 HP outboards, greater usable fishing space and the capability to travel up to 100 miles offshore.
Why did Kokomo replace its 42′ Yellowfin?
Our experience with the 42′ Yellowfin showed us what we wanted to improve. Off Script offers more usable fishing space, greater stability, a shallower draft, a trolling motor and better flexibility across different fisheries.
Is a catamaran better for offshore fishing?
For Kokomo’s operation, yes. The twin-hull design provides greater stability and a more open, usable fishing layout.
Does Off Script rock less than a monohull?
Yes. The catamaran platform provides a more stable ride than the previous deep-V monohull, particularly in rougher conditions.
What happens if offshore seas are rough?
Safety comes first. The captain makes the final decision based on weather and sea conditions and may adjust the trip accordingly.
Can an offshore trip be changed to inshore or nearshore fishing?
When conditions and trip objectives allow, Off Script’s shallower draft and trolling motor give the captain greater flexibility to transition to inshore or nearshore waters.
Does Off Script have a trolling motor?
Yes. Off Script is equipped with a Garmin Kraken trolling motor, giving the captain greater control when fishing shallow or structure-focused areas.
What fishing techniques do you use?
Techniques vary by target species, location and conditions and may include trolling, bottom fishing, reef and wreck fishing, and other offshore techniques.
Do you have electric reels for deep dropping?
Yes. Electric reels are available for deep-dropping trips.
