UNDERSTANDING YOUR ESTIMATED CHARTER TOTAL
The prices shown on this page are Estimated Charter Totals. They include the vessel rental plus estimated captain/crew and fuel costs so you can see a realistic anticipated cost for your charter.
Please note that the Estimated Charter Total is an estimate and does not include taxes, applicable surcharges, or the customary 20% gratuity.

Captain/Crew
Every Kokomo charter requires a qualified independent USCG-licensed captain selected and hired by the charterer. During booking, you may choose to prepay an estimated captain/crew deposit for convenience. This deposit does not select or assign a captain. Fuel You may also choose to prepay an estimated fuel deposit. Fuel is estimated based on approximately 10 gallons per charter hour. Actual usage varies by yacht, speed and itinerary and is subject to a final true-up when applicable.

After reserving your yacht, you will receive an email from HireYourCaptain.com with captain options for your yacht and charter time. Want to keep it simple? See who is available, review ratings and click Select. Want to know more first? Review captain profiles, see additional captain options or contact a captain directly before making your choice. Once you confirm your selection, Hire Your Captain sends the confirmation directly to both you and your captain.

BRING YOUR OWN CAPTAIN
Prefer to use your own qualified captain? You can. Your captain can submit their credentials directly through HireYourCaptain.com. Hire Your Captain collects the required information and forwards it for review under the vessel's insurance requirements - the same qualification process used for other captains operating the yacht. Once approved, the captain can remain in the system for future eligible charters, subject to current credentials and applicable insurance requirements.
