Every Kokomo charter requires a qualified independent USCG-licensed captain selected and hired by the charterer.
After booking, you will receive an email from HireYourCaptain.com with captain options for your yacht and charter time. Want to keep it simple? See who is available, review their ratings and click Select. Want to know more first? Review captain profiles, see additional captain options or contact a captain directly before making your choice.
Once you confirm your selection, HireYourCaptain sends the confirmation directly to both you and your captain so you are connected directly.

Prefer to use your own qualified captain? You can. Your captain can submit their credentials directly through HireYourCaptain.com. HireYourCaptain collects the required information and forwards it for review under the vessel's insurance requirements - the same qualification process used for other captains operating the yacht.
Once approved, the captain can remain in the system for future eligible charters, subject to current credentials and applicable insurance requirements.

DAY CHARTERS
Day charters may be cancelled by the guest at any time up to five (5) days before the scheduled departure for a full refund, less applicable credit card processing fees.
Within five (5) days of departure, charters are non-cancelable by the guest and may only be cancelled by the company or captain for reasons related to weather conditions or mechanical issues.
If the trip cannot operate safely because of weather, we will first try to reschedule your charter based on your availability. If rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund.
If a charter is cancelled because of weather or mechanical issues, your captain will notify you directly.
A credit card transaction fee will be deducted from the deposit if you cancel your charter.
